April is National Poetry Month! Are you ready?

Aligned with the California standards, Poetry Speaks highlights unique ways to teach poetry through the visual and performing arts. In this interactive and engaging session, teachers will learn how to combine elements of dance, music, theatre, and visual art to study and create poetry. Using popular music and easy classroom art activities as a vehicle for learning, this workshop provides simple strategies to make poetry accessible for all learners. Participants will discover ways to unlock creativity, build vocabulary across content areas, increase fluency, and make poetry fun!
